- using the modal auxiliary verbs should and must
- speaking spontaneously to describe their pets and relate anecdotes
- giving opinions
In biology class students have the opportunity to:
- classify their pet according to the Linnaean system
- prepare a profile of a fantasy pet, classifying it and describing its habitat, diet, means of reproduction etc
